Investing in our business, our planet and our people.
Long-Term Perspective
Sustainability has become an integral part of our approach to running our company. We’ve achieved continuing improvements in adapting and upgrading our portfolio management strategies and actively engage with our tenants to support recycling efforts. We’ve implemented various initiatives at our corporate headquarters to minimize our direct impact on the environment and strive to ensure an inclusive experience for all associates, continuously refining and expanding programs to holistically support their health, well-being, and professional development, and encouraging them to volunteer in the betterment of the communities where we live and work.

Associates also receive training and annual orientation on our wellness platform, Vitality, to support engagement with health and well-being tools.
Lunch & Learn Workshops
We host year-round learning sessions designed and led by internal subject matter experts and external professionals to share practical insights and deepen business knowledge across the organization. In addition to professional development, we recognize the importance of personal well-being. NNN offers programs, educational resources, and team-based initiatives that support physical, emotional, and financial health. Breakfast Bytes supports continuous learning, cross-department collaboration, and everyday curiosity across the organization.

Our education assistance program provides up to $3,000 per year in tuition reimbursement for associates pursuing coursework relevant to their job responsibilities, strengthening skills, and enhancing long-term workforce capabilities.
Compliance Training
NNN delivers comprehensive compliance training to support a secure, ethical, and accountable workplace. This training includes cybersecurity awareness to help associates identify and respond to risks such as phishing, ransomware, and other cyber threats, as well as guidance on protecting company systems and data. Associates also complete Whistleblower Policy and Code of Business Conduct training, reinforcing expectations for ethical behavior, integrity, confidentiality, non-retaliation, and responsible decision-making. Together, these programs promote a consistent understanding of company policies and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.

As a nationwide property owner, our Company recognizes the importance of environmental and community stewardship. This commitment is reflected in our actions both at our headquarters and across our properties. For example, our sustainability-focused updates to our form lease earned us the Green Lease Leader Silver award from the Institute for Market Transformation and the U.S. Department of Energy Better Buildings Alliance.
Building on this foundation, we are continuously enhancing our corporate sustainability strategy and reporting, efforts that led to NNN’s inclusion in Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Responsible Companies.
We aligned our material topics with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to focus on ways that NNN REIT, Inc. could support these identified goals directly through our operations.

McCloud Forestry Project
The McCloud River property encompasses more than 9,200 forested acres in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties in northern California, just southeast of Mount Shasta. Prior to Bascom Pacific's ownership, the land passed through the hands of various industrial timber operators, and intensive harvesting across the region dates to the early 20th century.
That legacy left a forest shaped largely by commercial production objectives rather than ecological ones. Now, through the McCloud Forestry Project, Anew Climate and Bascom Pacific are charting a different course — reducing harvest levels and allowing the forest to develop into a structurally complex, multi-story native woodland capable of sequestering additional carbon while supporting the wildlife, watersheds, and working forest communities that depend on it.
APALACHICOLA RIVER PROJECT
The Apalachicola River property is over 98% forested with a diversity of ecosystems and cover types. Since 1917, prior to Aurora’s acquisition of the property, timber production had been a primary management objective of the forestland, resulting in forest cover types such as pine plantations and planted hardwood. Where feasible, Aurora aims to transition these forest stands back to a natural state and to increase their resilience to a changing climate through light-touch management.
